Wellington Place Primary opened in August 2024—not just as a school, but as the heart of a growing community. As the founding Headteacher, I’m proud to lead a team dedicated to creating a happy, ambitious environment where every child can thrive.
At Discovery Trust, our core values—Equity, Ambition, and Belonging—guide everything we do. Every child and family is made to feel they belong here. I greet each child at the gate every morning with a smile and a heartfelt “I’m glad you’re here.” On Fridays we even start our day with a dance together! Our incredible children truly make the school community magical—full of awe and wonder.
Our vision – Learn, Lead, Achieve, Succeed – is brought to life through a rich, creative curriculum and a culture rooted in kindness. We aim to be the happiest school in Leicestershire, where children arrive each day excited to learn together.
