A message from Discovery’s Trust Leader.

Welcome to Wellington Place Primary School. As Discovery Trust Leader I am delighted to welcome you to our newest primary school, currently under construction in Market Harborough and due to open to Early Years Foundation Stage in the Autumn 2024..

I am proud that Discovery Schools have been chosen by Leicestershire County Council to run this new £9.3m ‘net-zero’ school which when complete, will boast many eco-friendly facilities that our children, and the local community can enjoy.

We are entering into a very exciting period as we start to plan our Global Curriculum for Wellington Place Primary School and look at appointing some very special people to work in our newest Trust school. Having 13 primary schools already in our Trust, we are well placed to provide your children with some wonderful opportunities that they will look back fondly on as they move through the school and on to secondary education.

Discovery Trust very much wishes the education experience at Wellington Place to be designed with our pupils at its heart. We will have a team of dedicated and caring professionals who will give your children the tools to become active citizens through their exploration of meaningful experiences, exploring the past, the present day and how their learning could impact the future.

Our school will be a place children can learn, lead, achieve and succeed and will serve the new Wellington Place development, providing a much needed community hub and central community, whilst offering wrap around care, holiday clubs and community partnerships.
